This is my first Mustang that I traded in for my 2007. A 2002 Mustang coupe with all the goodies including leather interior, 3.8L V6, 5-speed, traction control(helps abit in the snow) and a set of Saleen style rims and Pirelli tires for the summer. I soon got tired of the big rubbery shifter, so I replaced it with a B&M Ripper Shifter. It is way better than the stock one. Since it sounded like a Taurus when I got it, I replaced the factory exhaust with a dual cat-back system from MagnaFlow. I have also added a cold air intake kit with K&N air filter. Since fog lights weren't available on the V6, I installed after market blue fog lights but used the proper style GT switch in the dash. I really liked the silver interior trim that you can get in the Mustangs now, so I used Dupli-Color Metal Cast paint to make the instrument bezel, centre stack and a few other trim pieces look like anodized aluminum. I have now replaced all the brakes on my car with Brembo drilled rotors and Hawk pads on the front and Ford pads on the rear. The old pads were worn down after 65,000kms but the rotors were a big surprise. They were totally shot, no chance of re-using them. There was major rust dammage on the old rotors and there were big chunks breaking off them. So far I am really impressed with the Brembo rotors, they look alot better than the Ford ones, they don't rust as soon as they get wet and they cost almost half the price of the replacement Ford parts.
