My other vehicles

Here I have added my past vehicles.

This is my first Mustang that I traded in for my 2007. A 2002 Mustang coupe with all the goodies including leather interior, 3.8L V6, 5-speed, traction control(helps abit in the snow) and a set of Saleen style rims and Pirelli tires for the summer. I soon got tired of the big rubbery shifter, so I replaced it with a B&M Ripper Shifter. It is way better than the stock one. Since it sounded like a Taurus when I got it, I replaced the factory exhaust with a dual cat-back system from MagnaFlow. I have also added a cold air intake kit with K&N air filter. Since fog lights weren't available on the V6, I installed after market blue fog lights but used the proper style GT switch in the dash. I really liked the silver interior trim that you can get in the Mustangs now, so I used Dupli-Color Metal Cast paint to make the instrument bezel, centre stack and a few other trim pieces look like anodized aluminum. I have now replaced all the brakes on my car with Brembo drilled rotors and Hawk pads on the front and Ford pads on the rear. The old pads were worn down after 65,000kms but the rotors were a big surprise. They were totally shot, no chance of re-using them. There was major rust dammage on the old rotors and there were big chunks breaking off them. So far I am really impressed with the Brembo rotors, they look alot better than the Ford ones, they don't rust as soon as they get wet and they cost almost half the price of the replacement Ford parts.

My first new vehicle I ever bought was a 2000 F-150 XLT 4x4 Supercab with a 4.6L Triton V8. I added a K&N Air Filter like I do with all my vehicles. I kept the stock radio but upgraded to Pioneer speakers in the doors and added two small sub boxes under the back seat. I also added chrome step bars and a soft tonneau cover. It was lots of fun in the snow but when I started commuting 200km each day to my new job, the price of gas really hurt.

My second vehicle was the complete opposite of the little imports that most people my age were buying. It was a 1990 Mercury Cougar LS with the 3.8L V6. I really liked the sleek look of the T-birds, but when I saw the interior of the Cougar with the full digital instrumentation and plush seats I knew that was the one I wanted. The 3.8 V6 wasn't exactly a powerhouse in a car as big as the Cougar, but the ride and handling were very nice with the variable power assist steering and fully independent rear suspension. I have always liked rear wheel drive best. After tinting the windows, a new sound system was needed. A Pioneer CD player and speakers along with two 12" Jensens in a custom box gave the Cougar a good sound for a decent price. I decided to repair abit of rust along the bottom by making the car two tone and added some chrome fender trim.

My very first vehicle, what a beast it was. A 1984 F-150 with the mighty 300 CID straight 6 and 4-speed manual overdrive transmission. My dad and I found it as a retired farm truck at a local dealer and decided to go half and half to buy something practical. Luxury features included a cloth bench seat, vinyl floor and AM radio. The radio was soon replaced by a Blaupunkt AM/FM cassette player and some new speakers in the doors. I tinted the windows myself, since all the glass was flat. I replaced the old Woolco tires with some more aggressive white letter tires from Canadian Tire, and added some fog lights to the front. As with the Cougar, there was some rust comming through along the bottom of the truck, so I repaired it and made the truck two tone by adding the charcoal grey along the bottom. I also repainted the grill to match and added some GTS headlight covers. My first vehicle is the only one of my past vehicles that I still see around. The guy who bought if from me still drives it around my home town.
