well, here she is as of a few months ago.
awe, steel crank!! gotta love em
just doing a few checks here to get the crankshaft end play set correctly. it was actually perfect and didnt have to do anything.
gotta hate those file fit rings, well, at least until your finger quit hurting from doing them
nice and shiny! 11:1 pistons. rods have been shot peened, beam polished, resized, and notched for better lubrication.
degreeing the camshaft here. first set it straight up, dot to dot. checked it with the degree wheel after also installing a dial indicator on one of the lifters, checked all the readings and we were 2 degrees retarded. had to pull the gear back off and set it 2 degrees advance and it came out perfect!! first time degreeing a cam here, that was pretty interesting, but fun. learned that even though you set it straight up dot to dot, doesnt mean its gonna be right and doesnt mean you dont have to degree it!!
heres where you get all of your power from, these nice blocks of aluminum. i had them fully ported, polished and gasket and port matched with the intake. definately improved the flow from the factory edelbrock specs.
