As much as I love racing, racing takes its toll on 35 year old parts. I blew a head gasket at the track. So I was forced to rebuild, and while I was at it, I modified a little bit.So here I am 8 years after I blew the head gasket, still not back on the road. Having other things take priority over the car, and finding out I made a bad calculation somewhere. I am having to replan things out. Now I am going to use the same block, pistons, rods, crank, and cam. But I am going to be changing up the top end a bit. I am going to be running a set of ported 990 racing heads with a 325cc intake volume and a 118cc chamber with 2.300 and 1.880 valves. The intake set up is going to be an Edelbrock RPM AIR GAP with a Holley 4606S 3 Barrel. The transmission is a TH400 that was built by good friend. So when I pull everything out of storage and being to get back to it I will have new pictures up.Plan B... I took the advantage of a friend parting out his weekend racer and got the 454 that was in it for $1000. After buying a new intake and putting a Holley 850 on it getting it installed and partly hooked up, well duty again called and I was deployed. So when I get back from overseas I should be driving it a few weeks later.Dont forget to sign the guestbook and let me know what you think.
