Here is my 2003 MX-5 Special Edition. When my wife and I bought the car the plan was that she would have access to this cute little roadster to tool around town in. From day one I started I drive it to and from work and around town. When we bought the car. I literally had no idea what was in store for our little baby. It wasn't long afterwards that I came across Miata.net. Well, as they say, the rest is history. At first, I thought that all the car needed was a few minor dress up items. As a Special Edition model, the car came with quite a few nice touches such as racing pedals, stainless steel scuff plates, chrome filler cap, Nardi steering wheel, Special Edition paint and 16" alloy wheels. As I continued to drive the car on a daily basis, I became more and more convinced that what it needed was more power. I was not content to have soccer moms in their minivans waste me off the line. I discovered very early on that this car really likes to be revved. However, winding the car out over 5k rpm to get going became tedious. Deep down, I really wanted a high performance car that had power off idle. Had I had made a mistake in buying a Miata? I started doing a lot of reading on the Power Forum of Miata.net. Finally, I made the call to BR Performance. Not long afterwards I installed an MP62 supercharger. No more concerns about power now. Its amazing what a quality forced induction package can do.
This shot shows off the Borla Sport dual tip exhaust. Just enough "attitude" to balance off that sweet supercharger whine.
