Let me start out by saying I am a dentist not a mechanic. Recently i've become very interested in old ford trucks.

I bought this 1956 from a man in georgetown SC, and drove it home to charleston. It was garage kept by the previous owner but still needed some attention to detail.

The outside of the vehicle was painted nearly perfectly about two years ago. I dont plan to repaint it anytime soon.

The interior of the truck was also nearly perfect, i have sanded and painted behind the bench seat, cleaned the carpet, and reattached the headliner. I have also put new sunvisors and a new rear view mirror. I also put all new door and window handles, and replaced broken passenger side glass
-- if anyone knows where i can find an original radio system let me know --

The bed is flawless, it was perfectly done by the previous owner. The only problem i have with the way he did the bed is that he didn't put polyurethane on the underside of the bed. I plan to sand and apply an appropriate type exterior type polyurethane on the underside of the bed.

Nice '56! It's nice to see another one that's mostly stock... I like the white grill... you never see that anymore. I have an original radio unit, but it's going in my '56 when I get it re-worked. If you want to find one your best chance is searching ebay, or swap meets. Keep up the good work!
