cobra: 1979 Ford Mustang Cobra

This page is for my 1979 Ford Mustang Cobra. I went to the 40th anniversary for mustangs in Tenn. and talked to some of the archival teams and was informed that this car in the original white with orange decals is 1 of possibly 2 or 3 produced that year. Making it a rare car and will be photographed for the updated version of the history of mustangs book due out for the 50th anniversary.

The car is mostly stock. 2.3L turbo, 4 speed, 500 miles on the rebuild, K&N air filter and the flowmaster 40 series delta muffler are the biggest changes done to it.

This is how the car looked the day I brought it home in the spring of 2000, and this is how it looked up until Aug. 24, 2004. Actually it is in a little better shape than when i brought it home. I had to replace the door on the drivers side because i've been driving it the past 3 years off and on. The door was so bad that the bottoms and the tops were gone and not holding much of anything together any more.
