Current Projects Page

So in an effort to organize this page alittle better, I have devised this page. A projects page. With the newest project to be featured on the front page, as they get completed. But I'm in the middle of acouple more projecs.

Project: Clean my effin engine

One of the dirtiest places on my car is the engine bay. Most of these Ricers on here at least have clean engines. So I'll have to get around to later. Not to mention the fact that I have a horrible wiring job. That of course will all get reworked with my switchboard.

I made one more step twords having a sweet engine. I took around 3-4 hours out of my day to make my exhaust manifold cover bling like none other. A dremil can do alot. Anyways, heres some sweet pics with a little before and after.

Project: Switch Board

I work in my dads sign shop. Which you'd think, eh, signs, nothin cool there. But I have thought of materials they use, and some of those include acrilice. Plastic sheets to cut and make stuff out of. I thought that the space underneith my CD player needed somethnig, so I started to think of a switch plate. I've seen it done on others cars, but they were all mediocer. Mine will be engraved, with 4 switched on it. Interior, Exterior, Parking, and Fog Lights. All backlit in blue. It will be ready sometime later.

Project: Parking Lights

So I bought all these cool blue LEDs off EBay, and they have just been sitting around. So I thought about what I could do with them. One idea that I thought of was to put them in my parking lights. I don't have any pics yet, but I will later. But I screwed the holes, and siliconed them up so water couldn't get into them, now, all I have left is to soilder them to wires, and run them to my new switch board.

Heres a pic of the back of one of my parking lights. I've drilled the hole, and siliconed the LED in place.

Project: Fix Trunk

This project looks like a simple repair, but it'll have some customization in with it. I accidentally bumped into a tree in my friends front yard, while backing up. Bad day for me, but that same day I borrowed a sub and amp for free, so it turned out even. So the back trunk needed to get fixed, and I thought that I might also get rid of my emblems. Also, that gold trim, has got to go. My car originally had the gold package, but now it looked like the faded half rust package. So I took those off, bondoed over the holes, and sanded the spots down to the metal. Right now it's all primed, and ready to be painted. I'm also painting over the rear trunk "Camry" sign, and leaving holes for the reverse lights.

Heres some pics of the bump:

Then the sanding and bondo came.

Then it got primed, ready for paint

So yeah, it's been awhile since I've worked on this thing, but we've almost got it done. First we masked, re primed, and sprayed.

So then we sprayed it.

And this is the final result for now.

The reason I say for now is that we came across a slight problem. Someone had repainted half of the trunk before, and I gues they sprayed it with enamel paint. If you know anything about paint, enamel paint and say Dupont paint react, causeing a reaction. So one spot bubbled up, and got gross. We're gonna resand that spot, respray it, and then clear it. THE TRUNK HERE IS NOT CLEARED YET. When it gets done, you won't be able to tell anything happened.

Well at least someone picked up where you left off.... but it was a HID conversion kit.... to be honest... it looks pretty good for 100 bucks... how hard was it to put the reverse glow gauges in, cuz there in the mail now... just wanted to kno if there was any serious wiring

Wow man for the money this is the best camry makeover i have seen! Good job. I just bought my 92 cam for $400 and it didnt even run. I put a new 3.0 v6 in it and some new suspension and rims and tires and already spent more than you and im not half way done. And was the air intake worth it because i am debating if i wanna buy a new cold air intake?
