Olds big block measurements
Measurements taken from Olds 455-F block, and 400-G block, stock valve covers and oil pan.

A - (varies due to shape) Length from rear of intake manifold to water pump pulley* .
B - 30.5? Length from rear mounting surface to water pump pulley* .
C - (didn?t measure) Height from bottom of sump to highest point of intake manifold .
D - (didn?t measure) Height from bottom of sump to top of carburetor .
E - 23.75? Width outside of valve cover to outside of valve cover.
F - 19.75? Block Width.
G - 5.5? Block height above crank center at widest point.
H - 10.625?, 15?, 19.75? Motor mount bolts from bell housing.
K - 31.5? Firewall to water pump pulley (68 442).
L - 24? Bare block, front to rear.

Miscellaneous:
The crank center line is the same elevation as the block bottom ( and oil pan top).
Oil pan front sump is 4.5? deep.
Oil pan rear sump is 7.5? deep.
*Water pump pulley measurement includes bolts.
All measurements are +/- 0.125?.

yea the engine is wrapped and crated in the back of my garage, nice olds too, i wish olds kept the same side stripe for 69'.
