Specs:
1968 Olds 442 Holiday Coupe, all numbers matching carb, intake, heads, exhaust manifolds, block, tranny, rear, and wheels. Painted original color: Silver with green tint, code P02.
The carb, intake, exhaust manifolds, and SS1 wheels are sitting on a shelf so I can do a little hot-rodding!
Weight guess is 3900 lbs.
400 C.I. BBO G block, 4.25� stroke, 3.9� bore (0.030� over)
C Heads, Home ported & polished, throats opened to 86%, raised roof slightly, teardropped valve guides, port matched intake and exhaust. 0.028� headgaskets. True 10.4:1 compression.
Factory rockers & pushrods; Rocker shims added and pushrod lengths selected to create proper lifter preload.
Bullet Cam #OL 275/282-10H recommended by Terry at FCR (MROLDS): 225*/233* at 0.050�, 0.509�/ 0.509�, Degreed to within �* straight up. Cloyes double-roller chain.
Performer intake, port matched to heads. Exhaust crossover plugged.
750 Speed Demon carb., PV changed from 6.5 to 5.5
Original points distributor. About 35 degrees advance, all in by about 2200 RPM. 30* dwell
1 �� X 3� Ceramic coated Dynomax headers
2 �� X-pipe, 2 �� Super-turbo mufflers, 2 �� tailpipes.
Turbo 400, 2600 stall converter
3.42 Posi rear, 275/60-15 TA Radials on 15 X 7 Olds rims.
A/C compressor & radiator removed.
11.5 in w.c at 750 RPM idle.
Shift at about 5500

R/T = 0.011 secs
60' = 1.978
1/4 = 13.570 secs.
