I bought my Nissan Almera back in January of 2004 which seems so long ago.

When i first got it i knew i was going to be 'modding' it as i have always wanted to mod a car.

People ask - why get an Almera, there are not many parts for it and they say it is not the best looking car as standard (i love it).

The thing is - whn you walk along the street how many Corsa's, Civics, Saxo's do you see kitted - loads. Then ask yourself - how many Almeras do you see. The Nissan almera is not only a hatchback, its the best driving hatchback, the most spacious hatchback, and best of all the most reliable hatchback you can buy.

The Almera i have isn't that powerful, a 1.5 multipoint injhection putting out around 90 or so BHP as standard. Its not slow but also not fast by any strethch of the imagination. Why didnt i get a more powerful one - simple reason i'm 19 and the insurance would have killed my Dad (the payer :) )

So my task - to not only speed the Almera up - but also turn a supposed 'grandads' car into something more youthful and stylish.
