Pictures from the rubicon trail in July of 04' with the myjeeprocks crew.
We cruised up the 99 through bakersfield and encountered some hot weather. We drove north from fraizer park(miller jeep trail)for about 7 or 8 hours till we hit sacramento. From there, we headed into the mountains overlooking lake tahoe.
Here we are in the mountains, almost to a place called icehouse where we stayed the night.
The next day heading for the trailhead.
These pics are from the dam right before gatekeeper. We aired down, disconnected, and all that other voo-doo we do to prepair the jeeps for the trail.
Rick on gatekeeper in his sweet CJ7 on 35's. He was the trail leader on this run.
I was second in line and my dad was behind me.
Eric and his highly modified YJ.
Tammy and her TJ.
MIKEY!
And our other friends doorless grand.
My dad getting crazy on "soup can".
The grand broke a his front axle. Sheered his lug nuts and spacers clear off the hub. A little red neck engineering and we have him up and running. Using my jeep as a workbench.
More cruising.....
Camped the first night.
Winching a stuck bronco.
Coming down big sluice?
Mikey and I backed up(really alot steeper in person) at the bottom of big sluice?
Camera ran out of battery at the bridge. Will get more pictures next year.

Great CJ7! Ilove what you have done and it is aleways great to see a Follow CJ do the Rubicon. I built up my CJ and did the Rubicon in 2007. I am now building it up more and am going to head to Moab.
