New (used) Horn
I added a used horn from late 1970's full sized Chevy. I got the horn from a local auto wreckers.
Two views of the original and used Chevy horn.
The two wires that are used on the factory horn. One is the power and the other the ground wire.
The two connecters one the original horn.
The single power input connecter.
The paint on the car body was scrapped the create a ground point.
The finished roughed up Chevy horn installed. The threaded hole was drilled out to allow the Geo mounting screw to be used again. A bit of griding was done to trim up the top section of the used horn and allowed a nice fit into the cars horn space.
The horn installs about the same way as the original. The mig wire is used to create the ground line. The horn is a much better sounding then the factory original. I has since shortened the ground line and plan to do more clean-up on the used horn. It looks almost like a factory original horn.

I am have problems setting up the horn. I have blown out the fuse for the four way flashers and the the sub also cut-out while the horn was plugged in. The original factory horn has been put back in for now. I really would to get this older used horn in place and working though.

I finally got the horn working. All I had to do was to used the greened powered line only. The ground line was not used. It now sounds very nice. The horn has been painted the same green as the cars body. It looks very trick now.
