The hatch was actually added by the guy who owned it before I did. He told me that it was replaced because the old one had a "rust problem"... which is ironic because the hatch that is on it at this point is half rust (pics later) ... make's me wonder what the old "rust problem" looked like.

Other problems include:

-Broken yet operable driver's side seatbelt
-Broken radio antenna (a motorized antenna came with the purchase of the car, but I dont' know if it works)
-Chipped left tail light
-Hatch won't open (It did about a week ago, but the handle under the driver's seat stopped working, and the key won't work because the hatch is from a different celica... arg.)
-Muffler is begining to rust out (rust, what's new)
-side view mirrors don't work (driver's side is a non-motorized mirror with no lever. Passenger side is a motorized mirror with a burned out motor)
-Spedometer needs calibrating (I seriously doubt I was driving 85 down the freeway in the right lane today)
-Windshield wiper fluid doesn't squirt.

That's about all I can think of right now, and the list is bound to get longer the more I drive it around without getting on fixing the things on this list. Which further gives me the idea of just saving up for a new 84 celica with less problems... and fixing that one. We shall see.

That looks like my GTS except I have no rust, but my dash is sun toasted, not as nice. You can tell if yours is a GTS by looking in the trunk area, if your rear wheel wells have an extra brace coming from the top of the inside well area towrds the floor board and if on the rear of the wheel well you have a strut/shock absober sticking up into the trunk area then you have a GTS which has independant rear suspension,Supra interior and the flared wheel wells. Another obvious way to tell is to look under the hood, do you see RA65-&OTHER NUMBERS ? If so it's a GTS. Keep it and fix er up.The GT I believe is an RA64-model.
