Welcome folks! Here are some snapshots of my Prerunner install.

The objective: Try to get the best sounding system I can while maintaining the stock look. Gonna be difficult!!

I'll keep updating it as I continue adding components over the next several months.

Shortly after I bought the PreRunner, I decided it was going to need to be soundproofed/dampened if I was ever going to truly enjoy my hard-earned money that I plan on putting into the sound system. Not that Toyota hasn't done a decent job of making it quiet, but there was still a lot of wind/road noise. I figure if I'm going to dump a lot of money into a stereo, I'd like to hear it without having to shred my eardrums to overcome road noise...

After much internet e-search, I decided to go with B-Quiet products. 145 sq ft of Brown Bread, 48 sq ft of L-Comp and a Hoodliner.

Here's a 70 ft roll of brown bread.

I ordered 3 Helix amplifiers from Scott Buwalda of Buwalda Hybrids.
If you've never heard of the man, just google "Scott Buwalda" and enjoy or you can go to his new website. Not only is he world class, it turns out he's a great all around guy to talk to, with a passion for sound quality. I feel fortunate to have met him. I can hardly wait for my amps to get here!

The sound system:
1 ~ Helix A4 Competition Amp - 4 channels, 153 W/RMS@2Ohms per channel
1 ~ Helix A2 Competition Amp - 2 channels, 270 W/RMS@2Ohms per channel
1 ~ Helix A1 Competition Amp - 1 channel, 540 W/RMS@2Ohms
4 ~ Image Dynamics Chameleon CXS62 component sets. 150 W/RMS@2Ohms each
2 ~ Kicker CVR 8" 4 Ohm subs, wired parallel to 2 Ohms, custom sealed enclosures
1 ~ Kicker L7 8" 4 Ohm sub, wired parallel to 2 Ohms, custom enclosures still being tested
Lots of Lightning Audio power and ground wires. 1/0 for main power and 4 Gauge (both + and -) directly into each amp
Alpine head unit with XM Satellite receiver
IXOS gamma geometry speaker wires all around
IXOS distribution block
Stinger fuseholders and battery posts
1 ~ 250 Amp ANL fuse
3 ~ 80 Amp inline fuses

phattacorder - Hey bro thanks for the compliment! I'm totally rebuilding the system and will post pics when its done... Look forward to seeing hybrid-audio legatia series front stage, Alpine H701 and C701, a black Denon DCT-1 head unit, 2- 12 inch Image dynamics subs and 2 15 inch subs to be named later, and a JBL bpx2200.1 to compliment the helix amps...
Teaser - the 12's are already mounted in the floor under my legs in the front... aaaahhhhh yeahhhhh!!
