cheyenne383's 1965 Chevrolet Impala This is the engine when I bought it, a 1967 Rebiuld from the lady who owned it originally not changing the oil for two years.

cheyenne383's 1965 Chevrolet Impala It ran decent, but it was definately ready for a rebiuld.

cheyenne383's 1965 Chevrolet Impala This is the engine compartment after the rebiuld, I took the oportunity to clean it out and paint it.

cheyenne383's 1965 Chevrolet Impala I kept the accesories and components stock, including the enormus monojet carburetor.

Good to see others enjoying the true treasures of our automotive industry. Theres no other car quite like the 65 Impala ragtop. I had the pleasure of driving my fathers back in high school. Wish it would have stayed in Kansas. My older brother sold it about 8yrs ago in Mississippi. Missing that car like crazy.

Hey - I'm doing the same thing with my '65 SS convertible. Yours looks great - not many around with the history yours has! I'm in the middle of panelling mine up with the help of a friend and its becoming a mammoth task..... Have a nosey if you like! Great work - keep it up! Mike

I like the storyline w/pictures, it shows how much these cars take to restore. In my opinion the condition your car was in,even with the rust, was good.I wish I could find them like that around here. What about the convertible top? I imagine you went about that the same way as the rest of your classic (with a fine-toothed comb).Keep up the good work! Come look at my '65 hardtop if you get the chance.
