The following occurred in and around Thunderhill Raceway Park in Willows, CA.
Cliffs of the story. Car died. Electramotive wheel came off pulley at 6700 rpm. Can't move car. Searched for wheel with Samaritan's Alvin, Dan, Kurt. Wheel not found. Wheel found and in bad shape. Tom D. lends a kind hand and tows broken car back into town. Shipment of new wheel overnight does not happen. Found machine shop in Orland willing to machine the next day. Towed car to shop at 8am the next day. Wait for 6 hours while it's made. Back on the road. Simple. Rest of Shasta fun as usual.

Bernard. Bernard was a cool guy. He let me hang out for the 6 hours it took to make the wheel and use the shop to install it.

So what do you think of the Japanese Classic Carshow? I was supposed to go to Motoring J last year, I registered 4 months before. 2 of my buddies dropout on caravaning to Solano at the last minute. I don't want to drive by myself so I decided to skip it. My cousin who resides in SF did go, he has a Super Car Supra twin turbo. He won his class and then he got a ticket for excessive muffler noise. He said the Solano Police was waiting outside to give tickets to every one and was towing cars away who don't look like it will past smog. That really sucks. Then David Swig the director of the Motoring J called me and ask who was my cousin who got a ticket and if my cousin friends got ticket also. I guess he is going to decide if he will have the show again in Solano. I would like to go this year if he will host the show. Maybe I will see you there.

Have you been to Datsun Shasta meet? I was there back in 2002. Fun drive from Los Angeles to up there. How about driving here to the Japanese Classic Car Show? http://www.japaneseclassiccarshow.com/
