8/23/04: This is my brand new 2004.5 Nissan 350Z Touring Roadster in Super Black on orange seats. The car had 16 miles on it when i got it. They gave me a test drive in this one so i was very gentle with it... knowing that this was IT. I was originally looking for Daytona Blue or White... but when i saw the black on orange i was hooked. This car came off the truck on Friday and was still under plastic wraps... it sat in the dealer lot for 1 and a half days before I got it! The dealer had washed it ONCE since it was ultra dirty coming off the truck, good thing i stopped them from washing it after i bought it cuz those assholes were gonna DRY WIPE A BLACK CAR. Anyway, the car is nice and safe now, and i gave it a full baptism today with layers upon layers of wax and leather lotion.
These are some pix i took around the neighborhood.
I was always scared of getting a black car because i CANNOT DEAL WITH SWIRLS. But i am gonna do it right from the beginning... lets hope the shine will always stay this way. Check out the reflection on the left pic.
Here are a few shots of the crazy shine from BLACKFIRE. This is a 3 stage paint sealant... i had never seen anything that works so well. It shines real deep and hides swirls without that greasy look. Here are some pix, taken at 12 at noon.
I would have never bought a black car if it wasn't for the orange seats...
Here is my Z next to my IS. There is no comparison between these two cars. The Z is everything the IS300 isn't. The Z is 6 speed manual while the IS is 5 speed auto. The Z is two door, the IS is 4 door. The Z is a convertible, the IS is not. The Z is in BLACK, the darkest color while the IS is in YELLOW, the brightest color. The only thing in common between these two cars is that they are the same length haha.
Mileage count: 1253 mi
Half a year of ownership and still DYING to drive it. The new car smell is still there and stayin strong.
