Here's my current ride, the black '89 Mitsubishi Montero V6. Its not much to look at, but I've grown up with this baby and we've been through a lot.

Its kind of slow nowadays, but still gets the job done and is still quite capable off road. Somehow, it also managed to make it to 105mph, but not quite sure how. Also, once I get home again, I'll get some more pics up of the Mitsu in action.

As for war stories, my dad got it stuck 4 wheelin in Moab a while ago. Our bike rack also came off the roof going 70, but the end result was only 100 dollars of damage to three bikes.

This spring, around February, I will be buying my dad's 2001 Nissan XTerra SE 3.3l V6 manual. kjkrow's 1989 Mitsubishi Montero

Here's a list a mods I plan on once I get the X.
-K&N or AEM Intake
-Gibson Exhaust
-Larger Bore Throttle Body or throttle body spacers
and hopefully a suspension lift when I get the money.

If you have any tips or other ideas for mods, please let me know.

Here's some other pics of XTerras.

Please sign my guestbook and thanks for stopping by. Once I get the X, the site will be changed around.

cool truck, let me know if you figure out any performance mods. K&N doesn't make an intake for gen 1 monteros, just a stock filter replacement

Hey man, that Montero has a lot of Potential. I have had two 91 Montero's and both of them have been great. Just check into some offroading mods before you give it up. Other than that, the xterra is an ok ride too but I'm just partial to Montero's.

If you like your Montero and the yellow Xterra, I think you'll like my Yellow 90 Montero.
