THE SILVER BULLET

This of course is not a Cobra, but until the webmaster adds Sunbeam Tigers to the make/model menu, it's just going to have to do. It's listed under Shelby, as Carroll Shelby provided the engineering and recommendation to install the small block Ford V-8 260 CI motor into the car produced by Rootes, transforming the Sunbeam Alpine into the Sunbeam Tiger.

1966 Sunbeam Tiger MK1A Silver Tiger:

302 Ford crate motor, 340 horsepower, GT40 aluminum heads, headers, 650 Edelbrock carb, 15 gal ATL fuel cell, Mallory ignition, Weiand intake, 4 speed toploader, 10.5 king cobra clutch(Ford), Auto Meter gauges, Griffin aluminum radiator, 4 wheel Wilwood disc brake system, 14 inch Panasport rims, roll bar, safety harness, Lightning Silver Metallic paint .

Very nice job. I am getting ready to start my restoration, and was wondering if you had some better pictures of the rotisserie ??

G'day Jeff - Magic Tiger just fantastic. I have a 66 Alpine that I have had since a kid. Do you think that I could achieve the same results? I would love you to e-mail me if you have a chance dcesweet@yahoo.com

Very nice car. The Sunbeams are my favorite out of all of the traditional British sports cars. They're just awesome looking. I'll have to get my hands on one some day. But for now my 72 Jag will have to do, check it out. It's got a V8 under the hood too!

Very nice looking Sunbeam Tiger. I own a 1966 Tiger that I am currently working on. Beautiful restoration. Would u happen to know if the front brake rotors and calipers can be upgraded? I read you can use vented rotors from Mustang II's?

Yes...that's all I can say...Beautiful resto on both. Are they raced at all, looks like they are set up pretty well for the nastalgia road courses. Keep the old ones around bud...Good job...Zeek
