This is what we called the VSRP, vanagon-sky-roof-project. We hacked the hole in the roof with an ax, the decided to take out all the sharp/jagged metal and put 2x4s in to soften the sides; later on we put Plexiglas on top of the 2x4s so we wouldn’t have to keep putting a tarp on top when it rained and having to freeze at night in the back seat.
