Motor and tranny are out.  Sold them to a friend.  New motor tranny will be a 2008 LY6 6.0 VVT with 4L80E.  RETROLSX in Cumming GA will be doing the swap.  Expect to see pic soon of the custom headers crossmember and all the goodies.

Looking for 480 HP at the flywheel.

Come back and look often.....

10-14-09 Accessories are installed.

7-16-09

Motor and tranny are in now just have to put all the accessories back on the engine and put the seats back in.

1-1-09

She is up on jack stands now.  motor and tranny are out.  Going to freshen them up and put her back together in time for spring.

UPDATE 11-21-08

Pretty much updated the interior.  I will change the red stripes to gray soon.  I had the upper door panels and rear seat covered again this time matching same material as the OEM front seats.  Also another shot of the 3 point rear seatbelt for my daughter.

Scroll to the bottom and compare stock to the first revision to the final product!

Let me know what you think!

Brakes

The front brakes use pieces from a C-5 Vette. The rotors are 13 inches and have twin piston PBR calipers.

I just installed my rear disc brakes today(1/10/06). They are from a 1998-2002 F body. They have 12 inch rotors and PBR calipers. Basically they are just like the enty kit from Baer Brakes!

I decided to mount the calipers at the 9 o'clock position to clear the frame and make it easier to mount the ebrake cables. I had to make a little relocation plate to move the bottom mount of the shock inwards about one inch. I need to polish the calipers so they look new and clean up the 7.5 rear. I did install new bearings and seals while I had the axles out. I have detailed the rear end now, installed new Edelbrock adjustable UCAs andnow the Ebrake cables are attached.

These are seats from a 2002 Monte Carlo, console from a 98-02 F body, Cutlass 442 upper door panels and my homemade stereo delete option. (JK I am in the market now for some tunes.)

Page 2 is huge with several pictures spanning the buildup process along with text describing many of the phases. There are several pictures of the front brake swap there also.

Man, you don't see one of these every day. 5*s for sure. Beautiful. Love the Aerocoupe look. Looks so much better in all black. There's a GNX over here that you should go head to head with in the 1980s decade: www.texacocarofthedecades.com Would be interesting to see which one prevails.
