More to come! When I get pictures I will put them on. It's a 1978 Dodge Aspen R/T with the original 318 c.i. engine. I am the third owner and the car is in pretty decent shape. I have 15x10 wheels in the back. It has the stock 318 in it right now and its a true R/T not a clone! Recently I had cherry bomb mufflers added to the 2.5" exhaust and there are no catalytic converters on the car. If anyone has any information or great websites for VIN identification and/or vehicle information for my Aspen R/T anything would be greatly appreciated. Leave a comment or email me if you like at cegerter@yahoo.com.

Update-02/17/06
The 340 is now in my garage and on an engine stand. I'll be sure to get pictures of it up ASAP. The engine looks great and I am super happy with the work done to it. The next step is getting misc stuff such as air cleaner, ignition, pulleys, water pump... After that the 318 will be pulled, engine compartment painted, transmission gone over and wallah 340 time.
Update-12/27/05
The 340 has been in the shop for about a month now and is nearing completion. The motor wasn't in as good as shape as I thought. The block is now bored .060 over, the deck has been cut down .010 and the crank was cut .020. New sealed power pistons, 10.5 to 1 compression, were installed on the reconditioned rods. Just got the Competition #256 cam with hydraulic lifters 212-218 dur and .477-.455 lift. I then added the Holly 650 double pumper carb to finish off the job.

Update-09/20/05
Well I just bought a 340 and another 340 short block. Total I now have one complete 340 that needs checked over and gone through a little bit and a 340 block with X heads on it, with 2 sets of nice M/T valve covers as well. Woohoo!
