And so the restoration begins...
Here are some pics of the top being fixed... We have taken off the vinyl top and have begun to treat the rust underneath. Luckily there is nothing major. The yellow film you see on the top is a rust treatment.
The rear channel was our main worry.. because it was bubbled up pretty good before we took off the vinyl. Turned out it only had a few small pin holes which have now been fixed.
Ahhh... Finally time for primer... here are some pics!
The body work for the top is pretty much finished.. soon it will be time for the rest of the body, I'll keep u guyz updated...
Alright.. we have now taken out all
of the interior in order to install the new floorpan. Only one floor pan needed replacing (driver side) all the rest are in great shape. Here is a pic.
Next to it a pic of what the car looks like as it sits now with the fresh primer on top.
Alright guyz... Time to use a little elbow grease! Anyone wanna help?? Gotta get the old paint off! Worst part of all!
