here is an idea i had for a project truck, it will be like my truck except with all this:

1990 MAF 2.9l engine (at least 160 hp and 180 ft lbs, thats the power i would want)

adjustable fuel pressure regulator
oil cooler
Port and polish heads and intake
New world product heads
1 inch thick radiator
bigger (86 and 87 2.9l) throttle body
headers
flow master exhaust
10w-30 synthetic oil (after braking in rebuilt engine for 20,000 miles)
felpro? valve cover gaskets
aftermarket catalytic converter
electric fan
tighten loose and open wiring
block heater

1983-1987 TK5 transmission

haze clutch
75w-90 full synthetic gear oil

8.8 3.73 limited slip differential

exterior

ranger custom with XLT trim
aluminum rims
v6 hood emblem
truck tires
stainless lug nuts
put stainless, aluminum, or plastic screen in cowl

oops miss read about the 2 wheel drive thing but still sceptic on it the Big body style ranger custom in the early 82-83 had some 4 wheel drives

Ford introduced its all-American Ranger in 1983. The Ranger replaced the Courier, which was basically a Mazda pickup with some Ford styling tweaks. Introduced in mid-1982 as an early 1983 model, the Ranger was at first only available as a two-wheel-drive truck. <<<<(((((((( that right there i dont know where u got this info but the courier was carried to the 83 model as was the ranger...the courier was all ford except the motor which was mazda thereas A FORD PRODUCT and the ranger was not the only 2 wheel drive mini truck The Ford Courier,Chevy Luv, Nissan Pup and so forth were all 2 wheel drive before the ranger was....

thanks, i didnt buy any heads, i thought about doing a top end engine rebuild and now that my head gaskets might be leaking, i just might. i think you read that from my "dream truck" page.
