*****TRADE ME AUCTION - SEE PAGE 7 for full details*****

This is my 1963 Ford Fairlane 500 2dr. I got it in 2004 from ohio and had it shipped out over here to New Zealand. It was totaly original except for 1 repaint, still had the original 221 and 2spd Ford-O-Matic done 97,000Miles. Since then I have done 85,000 Miles, put in a fully rebuilt motor & gearbox (248 Windsor & C4 3spd), rebuilt the suspension, New Paint, Rechromed the bumpers, new wheels, Disk Brake conversion, Custom sound system, Striped and repainted the whole inside (doors, floor, Trunk etc), engine bay and reundersealed underneath, Halogen headlights and a whole lot more!

(Photoshop pic with 17 & 18 inch rims. Notice the speakers out of the boot!)

Updates

Installed a new Holley 390CFM 4bbl carb and had dyno tuned.
Also added a 1" phenolic 4 hole spacer, It goes much better and has improved throttle response. The fuel economy improved a bit, it used to use 38L from Auckland to Rotorua (250-260km) now it only uses 32L (12.3L per 100km) and that wasn't taking it easy!

The old XC Falcon disk brakes kept wearing out the caliper bush and rattling so I've put new Ford XF Falcon Alloy brake calipers on, no more rattles now and way lighter than the old cast iron XC ones. I'll upload pics some time.

Broke the passengers side axle, someone had gas axed the wheel bearings off in the past which weakend the metal causing the axle to break later on. I decided to pull the whole rear end out so that I could also re-underseal it, put new shocks in and while I was at it i've decided to re-bush it and put a new twin exhaust on.
See page 5 for more details and pics.

Installed the quickor front and rear swaybar kit (1" front 3/4" rear) Made a huge difference to the handling it now sits flat round the corners and can be driven hard through our windy NZ Roads (feels good even at 100MPH+) and it still has a nice smooth ride when crusing!
