Extrude Honing
****************************************************
So I wanted to extrude hone the intake and try to add some height to the runners where the runners join the plenum. Well after some pricing and meat headed replys from the extrude honing places about how much they would take out and what it would do to the car, I thought better of the decision. First they thought I was some stupid girl that was clueless about performance mods to engines... Then the price... $650.00 to remove 1mm of material. (Um that would barely knock the casting bumps out!) Any more and I would loose all my TQ they said. Well I NEED way more removed then that.

So it was on to a better alternative...Well Joe managed to find a company making performance Fiero intake manifolds...Truleo... After some serious talking, they agreed to make a one off F-body one for me. After some scouting there was enough interest they decided to go for a production version. So we supplied all the stock f-body pieces to them and they went to it!

Mine finally arrived. Still a one off version from production, with a different neck and we had it equipt with a 65mm Ford TB mounting point!

So the plan was to get it installed and report back what gains we have found with the intake.

These are very important to the true function of the intake.

First we took some pics of the stock configuration of vacuum lines & the like. Since it was all going to have to rerouted, we needed an idea of what went where, so we could properly swap things!

this is the best most informative site on cardomain.com ive ever been on! i love pontiacs and i own a 94 Grand Prix you should come check out sometime. I definately think that u should make ur own site for this generation of Firebirds! Great job on the car, and the hood looks good, ive seen a couple Grand Prix's in the 92-96 gen. that molded the RAM II scoops to the hood and made it look nice, i think someday im going to do the same! PS i had to add u to my friends so i can come back to the site all week at work just to read it all!
