DYNO

DYNOLAB: GA. (Jan. 3, 2004)
This was after installing the new headersstill working out bugs on the engine, like fuel and timingstill no custom chip!

Now we opened the newly installed cutout to see what would happen.

Max Power = 134.1 @ rear wheels (+20%) = 160.92hp @ the fly wheel
Max Torque = 207.4 @ rear wheels (+20%) = 248.88ft-lbs @ the fly wheel

Wow on the hp#s cutout gave: 8.2hp
Got some of the torque back cutout gave: 4.3ft-lbs
You can sooo feel the difference on the road too!
Can you say way too restrictive exhaust!

GAFBA SPRING SHOOTOUT: Reynolds, GA. (March 13, 2004)
Well I now have the 3.4 installed, the cutout open, the headers, 3.73 disc brake rear, 27-2800 stall converter

Car was spinning tires horribly; car was not making the 2-3 shift at WOT and was hitting the rev. limiter.

Weight: 3755 w/ me in the car

Just thought of something to get a better idea what the car was running that day...I think the tranny problem was after the 1/8 mile mark, so I can use the NHRA sactioned conversion to take an 1/8 mile time and calculate a 1/4 mile...

If I take the best 1/8 mile time from the timeslips that day...
multiply my best 1/8 mile time(10.64) by 1.538...
that will give me the approx 1/4 mile time.

16.36 in the 1/4 mile!

this is the best most informative site on cardomain.com ive ever been on! i love pontiacs and i own a 94 Grand Prix you should come check out sometime. I definately think that u should make ur own site for this generation of Firebirds! Great job on the car, and the hood looks good, ive seen a couple Grand Prix's in the 92-96 gen. that molded the RAM II scoops to the hood and made it look nice, i think someday im going to do the same! PS i had to add u to my friends so i can come back to the site all week at work just to read it all!
