This Jeep is rare because it was built about 3-4 months prior to all other manual transmission 2003 Liberty's. It was an employee vehicle and was ordered to remain within DCX. The reson for waiting to build the rest of the 5 speed Liberty's is due to the whine in second gear. Because JD Power sends their survey out in October, if none of these were built for delivery before then, customers couldnt rate it poorly for that annoying hideous sound. However, this one was delievered to its first driver on October 4th, 2002, much before the release of the 5 speeds for 2003.
