I've owned this vehicle since June 1978 -- it was my father's before then. Took my driving lessons and test in this car that same summer and it has been all over Canada & U.S.A. since that time.

It is not driven as much anymore, serving as a back-up to my primary vehicle, a 2005 Ford Escape Hybrid. Check it out at: http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/716880

Front view of 4-door Valiant V200; repainted inside & out in fall 1991 (by Frank Vaski, Jr. @ XL Autobody in Kelowna).

Rear view: small inner chrome rings are missing from the tail-lights -- I still have these and intend to get them refurbished before reinstalling onto the red lense.

Left side: after-market chrome locking gas cap (original cap was painted to match body colour) -- with the price of fuel nowadays, this seemed a wise "upgrade"

Interior: dash; stock AM radio and speaker remain installed (and functional), with removable Sony XR-7500 unit centred below and linked to a Sony CDX-2001 10-CD changer in trunk with M.B. Quart speakers in doors/rear deck (installed in 1991). Auxiliary Smith gauges installed below dash to left of Sony stereo. Push-button automatic gear selectors at far left side of dash.

Engine compartment: 170 cubic inch slant six (advertised at 101 hp @ 4400 rpm / 155 ft lbs torque @ 2400 rpm / 8.2 : 1 compression ratio) -- all original except for windshield washer bottle at top right as original/replacement bags usually tear after a few years of use. Engine rebuilt in spring 1985 by Okanagan Engine Rebuilders (Kelowna).

Trunk: original rubber mat disintegrated and has been replaced with a custom cut black carpet mat (mat & interior by Dell Design Upholstery of Kelowna -- 1980). Jack is located at far left side of trunk, and Sony CDX-2001 10 CD-changer is centred at the very front of the trunk (immediately behind the rear bench seat).

Cool. Who says four doors arent nice. With the price of muscle cars these days. The A body is an excellent alternative. Come check mine out.

Nice shape it's in! I had a 65 w/273/4 spd, almost killed myself in that in Kitchener Ont. back in 1968!
