Here is my Falcon story followed by pictures of my original Falcon, my project car and my convertible.
My infatuation with Falcon's began back in 1982. My Grandparent's had a 1965 Falcon Futura 2 Door Sedan that they kept at their summer home and used only for errands. My Grandfather was the Captain of the Teaneck Police Department in 1966 and he received a call from a body shop about a wrecked car they had. They told him about the 1965 Falcon and that it could be repaired and they would sell it to him for $1,500 (a little more than 1/2 of what it was new). In addition, they informed him that the original owner was an elderly lady, Ms. Bridie Kennedy of Tenefly, NJ, and that she died as a result of her injuries from the head on collision. That didn't bother my Grandfather and he bought the car but he always neglected to tell my Grandmother about it's history.
I was at their house on vacation in 1982 when I was 13 years years old and really fell in love with the car. I washed it, waxed it and basically worked on it for my whole vacation. My Grandmother saw how much the car meant to me and gave it to me. I was 13 and owned my first car. I called her Bridie in honor of her first owner.
I fixed it all up in high school but admittedly let it rot for the last 17 years. It would just be too hard to restore at this point. I will not cannibalize it either. I'm going to let Bridie waste away in peace with just 46,000 original miles.
This is what she looked like in 1987.

This is what she looks like today. I rebuilt the engine 5 years ago when the valves stuck from sitting for 10 years. She runs great but the cowl & floor pans are rusted out so it's basically too far gone to repair.

Well - - on to the project car......
