This is my pride and joy. A 1982 Corona Silver Edition Japanese Edition. Basically, the set-up of the car is still in its stock condition with some minor modifications. It still has the original 3A-U 1452cc engine. Transmission was upgraded to 5-speed to give better fuel mileage and hi-end speed on long runs. Rack and pinion power steering was also fitted. Interior is still stock (seats, carpet and sidings) though leather seat covers were added to prevent the fabric seats from damage. It's a daily driven car and is still fuel efficient.
I'm keeping this car with me as I grow old. Definitely, it will run on the streets longer than the new generation of cars with electronic gizmos. It may not have the comfort features of a modern car, but what matters is that it's an old-school head turner!
