Well we put in the 99 Pontiac Trans Am suspension in the front and it was 5/8" too high. My brake booster wouldnt fit and thats sorta important. I already got a different shaped one so my hydraulic clutch cylinder would fit, so I already have the smallest one available. So we took out that suspension and tooka '79 Chevrolet Camaro front clip that he had laying around and tried modifying that. That wouldve been nice with the low low double A-arms they had but the rear lower A-arm bracket/point was too far back into the floor/firewall of my Grand Prix. The pic below shows the rear frame that still needed to go back 5" to have the tires centered in the wheelwells. That wasnt happenin!
So here I are plasma cutting away some of the 79 suspension to see if itll work. Almost everything on my project is "Do all the research and measurements you can and after that its all trial and error. No book or writeup to follow along to." So start hackin!!

The frame of the '79 wouldve sat nicely inside my existing frame rails.

SOOO we took the '79 Camaro suspension out and replaced it with the originally planned '99 Trans Am setup. We then dropped the entire front suspension down 3/4" of an inch and then it cleared the booster. By that time I just wanted it in so itll be a rolling chassis. I can always mess with springs and ride height later on.

I am about to pick up my N* engine. I posted that I was thinking of doing the swap in my 96GTP and I was directed to your page. Great Work. Love the idea of RWD.
