Northstar car have a tendance to burn up. The "plastic" fuel rails leak and hit the exhaust manifolds and start fires. They soon realized this and made a stainless steel recall for certain years. I dont think they ever got to the 98 motors in the recall (93-97 got the recall) but I found a SS fuel rail and installed it on my motor.

Of course it didnt fit because of the 180 degree flip of the intake so, yea, had to modify it.
