Hi Friends,
I present my 1997 Ford Ranger. I started in 2003 with the modifications, going from a simple body lift to a complete suspension change.
In 2004 I installed a Tuff Country 4" suspension lift (cheap and nice, and the truck gained a lot in performance). During that period, I changed to 6" skyjacker coils and the truck had a very good performance, but the TTB didn`t convince me completely. Too tought to get aligned, and the wheelbearings...a PITA!. During 2006, I intalled one of the better mods I`ve ever done...a Doubler transfer case, made from a D20 (bronco) and the stock BW1354. The control in rocks and big holes was...WOW! The final crawl ratio is 109:1 and that is great!
Finally, sick of the TTB, I made a big change in the truck. I`ve made a Solid Axle Swap, using a complete Chevy K5 front D44 and change the original suspension to a front 4-link and a rear 3-link + panhard. The change was awesome, and the performance is incredible. A lot of wheel travel, very soft rear suspension and an incredible overall performance (front ARB + rear ECTED.
I have made a LOT OF MISTAKES, and if anyone wants to modify their Ranger, do not hesitate to contact me in order to avoid the big mistakes I have made. Ok, no more blah blah...thanks! ;)

The actual Ranger status is:

Ford Ranger 1997 4x4 Ext. Cab. 4.0 V6 S.A.S.

Rear: F8.8, C-Clip Eliminator, 4.56, ECTED locker, 3-Link + Panhard, 2" wheel spacer (to match front), 3,5" JD Coils.
Tires: Iroks 36 x 13.5 on 10" Beadlocked wheels.
Body: Trimmed fenders (not in pics yet), Bobbed Tail, Body Lift 3", Hella 1.000 FF, safety cage.
