This is my 2000 Pontiac Firebird Formula, not a Trans Am, I hate it when people call this car a Trans Am. I got this car late 2007 for $5,000. The owner said he was selling it so cheap due to lack of smog equippment, but like I stated with the 87 Trans Am, I also own a house out there, and it comes in use when I need to register a car, because there are no smog laws required in the county where the home is, so I can drive over from socal, register, and drive back and all in a day.

The LS1 has the following modifications:
-Pace Setter Long Tube Headers
-SLP off road Y pipe
-3" Y pipe back into exhaust system
-Borla tuneable exhaust system
-SLP air lid
-SLP intake
-SLP Smooth bellows
-SLP MAF
-Ebay purchased TB (tweaked)
-Corvette covers
-Corvette wheels (see new pics at bottom)
-Strut bar
-Trans Go shift kit street / strip
-4.10 gear ratio
-Aluminum driveshaft
-Comp. Cams, camshaft and valve train (cam only, no heads)
-Dyno tune
-250 shot of nitrous, not hooked up, and chances are will never be hooked up

Video at the track, before I did the rear CETA black out. This is when the car just had the headers and exhaust. Before cam, SLP goodies, and the rest of the bolt ons. I was runnin on crappy street tires, racing an 03 Mustang Mach 1, with a tune, Intake, clutch kit, M/T Drag radials, and an excellent driver. The LS1 is much faster now. Need to get a new video of it at the track soon.

You have a very nice collection. The Firebirds are my favorite. Yeah, I think the 70-74 firebirds are forgotten for the real performers they are. Infact the ram air 5, and latter SD-455 could take hemi's and the mighter but heavy 454 chevys. I like that you explain that to everyone. Because it slipped into alittle known fact because of those week 400s to come after 71. To bad. Good luck with it, its an amazing peice of history.

Very nice time machine. Some cars are worth preserving and keeping stock, like yours. Excellent choices in gen 3 and 4, also. Entertaining site. Keep up the good work and try to be nicer to your tires, ha!
