yeah they are bbs's off of an 89 convertible mazda rx7 that i own. It's dead now, rotaries, gotta take care of them better.

The FE3 is a direct drop in. You can use which ever tranny(LX, GL, and GT). The GT is much beefier than the others. There is a way to make the FE3 run with the GT ecu wires but i don't know how. Just make sure your friend gets the wires, ecu, and air flow meter.

The 626 DOHC engine is not FE3. The only FE3 in the U.S. is in the 95 up Kia Sportage 4x4. But is RWD.
