96Mustang460cid's 1996 Ford CL

A closeup of where the motor plate meets the 'frame' of the car.

This shows the header to tranny pan clearance. It's still a tight fit, but it'll work. I imagine I reduced the capacity of the tranny pan by a quart.

Picture of another guys' car with a similar setup to mine. He sent it to me because I wasn't sure how to mount my radiator.

Pulley spacer I made from 1/4" aluminum to space to space the crank pulley out. This was required because the motor plate spaces the water pump out 1/4"...which in turn spaces the water pump pulley out further. I cut the rough shape out with a sawzall. I then scribed the inner hole from the crank spacer into the spacer and took my die grinder to it until it properly fit.

this is a bigblock 460? did you have to do any cutting other than on the k-member and radiator support? i am thinking about doing a similar build on a 98 v6, and would like to know what kind of cutting i am getting myself into, think i can handle the radiator support to clear the radiator, and maybe i wont have to comsidering it will be a full blown dragster and wont need one that big. would appreciate a reply, and dude, thats an awesome stang...

Hey awesome project man! You should just throw a cowl hood on instead of the stock one. It'd look sick!
