UPDATES 7/12/05
---------------------------
I havn't updated in quite a while.. and alot has changed in the agenda of my 280Z...

First things first... peep this:

TURBO
-------------
YES (that is my turbo donor), I am crossing over to the dark-side. an L28ET will now be going into the 280Z... I've been planning this for a while, and I am still far from finishing... I estimate another 6 months to a year until the car is near completion (notice.. near completion). I will be takeing my time with this swap and at the same time I will be fixing all of the body... I'm buying the tools needed to finish my Z up.. and I'm very excited about the whole new turn for the project.

OTHER PROGRESS
-----------------------
I've bought an array of parts and still need many before I can go much further.

PARTS AQUIRED:
-----------------------
- Full weatherstripping kit
- 2 rear front quarter patch panels (still need lower rear quarter driverside panel)
- Early 280Z hood (no vents, gonna have to do something custom with it)
- Hyundai corner markers (same fit the lines of the Z and are closer to the car)
-MSD 6T Ignition box

I've invested a fair amount into my Turbo donor car, which now runs... more parts to come soon, havn't had much money to spend, but I am working on another load of parts (mostly turbo stuff).

Here's a new pic of my 280Z minus the front bumper (I'd been meaning to do this for a while, and even though I've found more rust, I like the look ALOT better).

I had to relocate my horns because the horn mounts were welded to the bumper shocks. I relocated them to the shock mounts with a little modding.

Oh, don't pay too much attention to that. That isn't an actual time for me since I am yet to get the will to go down to the strip. I just asked some guys on one of my classic Z forums what a relatively stock 280Z will get if its in good condition mechanicly. They said they had gotten anywhere from 15.4-15.8 so naturally i took the lowest one and just jotted it down lol. Once I get the chance though, I do plan on getting an official time.

Yah, well have to keep in touch. Just curious, did you buy the airdam, or was that already on there? My plans are for the engine first off, but then some body repair and an airdam and ducktail. I want to keep it as much stock as possible. I think I'm going to try and get all my gaskets replaced here ASAP. When you turbo, are you planning on doing it to the stock engine or an engine swap from a 280ZX turbo?

hey your z aint so bad neitha, yeah I know the cold air intake doesnt do much but I hated the look of the airbox and this way the air IS a little colder and it can take in more air when it needs it, there's gotta be a way to get around that damned mass air flow sensor somehow I hate it so much!
