9/4/04 - 15.489 @ 86.48 MPH! best run yet! 60' was a 2.131, car weighed in @ 3494 lbs. i lost .348 seconds and gained 2.03 MPH over my previous time. all i did was remove the seats, spare and jack, and ran on a 1/4 tank of gas. weight reduction is a beautiful thing...

8/28/04 - First time @ the track! Englishtown's Raceway Park, Aug. 28th, GM EFI Series. My first-EVER run was a 15.837 @ 84.45 MPH, with a 60' time of 2.173, my best of the day. I also won my first bracket race, against a Grand Prix GTP. I dialed in a 15.80, he dialed in a 14.10. I ran a 15.904 to his 14.510. I was .104 off my dial-in, he was .410 off, so I got the win! I had a great time, I can't wait to go back! I'll have timeslip pics when i figure out how to make my camera take clear pics of the slips. Here's a pic of me racing against James in the 2nd round:

I bought my '98 Camaro in April of 2004. I originally had a 1990 Toyota Celica, that was wrecked by some stupid girl in an Infiniti SUV in March. I had always wanted a Camaro, and I found this one a few weeks after the accident. What you see now is only the beginning. i have BIG plans for this car, including a bunch of SLP goodies and a nitrous kit.

I'm on the cover of Chevy High Performance!....not really, but this is a good photoshop.skorpion317's 1998 Chevrolet Camaro

A close shot of the blackouts. There's about 8-9 layers of paint on there.

I don't have much done to the exterior. The ground effects are the Sport Appearance Package from GM, it was an option from the factory. Eventually I'd like to get an SLP Ultra-Z hood, HIDs, black halo headlights, clear corners, a "3800" decal on the rear along with an SLP badge (my car is going to have a LOT of SLP products), and fill in the rear "CAMARO" lettering. I'm not sure what rims I'd like to get, but here's one of my ideas:skorpion317's 1998 Chevrolet Camaro

Nice car, got a question about your intake though. I have a 98 as well and was thinking of getting the SLP lid (cause I can get it cheaper than the whisper) is there any difference between the SLP and the whisper other than the middle position on of the lid output (also disadvanteged because we have the slant upper intake manifold)? Hows the normal tubing to connect it to the TB working out, you think loosing any power because its just tubing and its so bent? Let me know, Thanks.
