2006 Shows I tentatively plan to attend: Don�t have all the dates yet! And there are a lot of local shows that may not get listed�
So far the car has been undergoing a major overhaul this season and has been unable to show.

Over the years RAIF has successfully shown at:
Local shows,
NOPI shows (local and National),
Firebird Specific Shows (National And Regional),
Super Chevy Shows (in and out of state), &
World Of Wheels.
Each year the car has changed and grown into more of a show car. I tried to incorporate styles from different genres of show cars. Its got some street rod touches, import touches, and muscle car styling. At import shows the fact that it is a Domestic it gets shunned sometimes. Its not modded enough. At American shows they think is too modded (import styled). Go Figure!
Being an older car it is more unique at shows. Sometimes this hurts, sometimes it helps! It is impressive an older car looks as new as mine does. People respond to this. Especially when they find out it is not a trailer queen. But it is not old enough to be a classic, so some see it as a late model and are not as apt to respect it as they would a street rod or classic muscle car. Then on the flip side there is the new car bias. People like newer fresher styles. Plus, there is a lot more aftermarket items available for newer cars!
It's still my daily driver, but its becoming more risky to drive it the older it gets & the more modded it gets. The age means blue book says it worth crap. But the mods and condition of the car say otherwise. Most is due to the fact that special insurance is required to get a policy that will honor the true value of the car and not default to blue book. Most of these policies will only allow small mileage allotments for the year. It must be in a locked garage and can't be daily driven. If it was a newer car this would be less of an issue cause it would be worth more and harder to total. The age my car is now, a good wack in traffic & it would be a total!
