night_wolf_83's 1974 Ford Falcon This car domain is for my work in progress 1974 XB Ford Falcon coupe. This is a new found passion and I intend to make this car one of the best I've ever driven...As this site develops you'll see the car as it unfolds, when I take the panels off to cutting the rust out of the panels and welding them up. The first four pics were taken when I went to inspect the car with a cell phone camera so sorry for the quality, more pics to come of the pre-restoration to follow as this page evolves. As some trivia this car is the same model used for the Interceptor on Mad Max except mines kind of missing the massive super charger. As you can see its definately in need of restoration, the interior is really good (but being changed regardless), the engine has only been in for 15 months but the owner run out of funds and well for about 8 or more months it sat under a tree to rot (poor car).

You wouldn't believe how many car mags and trading posts I went through looking for one only to end up being told about one in a friend of the families neighbors front yard. I can't wait to let her loose and whoop those pussie holden boys ass's *wink* but for now she's strictly to the garage (that and I have been put on driver suspension for 6 months). Glad to have found MJ while shes in such good condition, a little while longer and she'd be junk yard material.

Stay tuned guys and gals, this project will turn this car which is in desperate need of attention into an all round aussie muscle car...Just as a little back ground info on the car and how I got it (yeah its my first real car, my first was a 98' Toyota corolla so i'm proud of this one). The car for the last 10 or so years has been owned by a female school teacher near me, and well shes invested a fair amount of money to try and bring it up to be a real cool car and didnt succeed too well. IMO the changing of the XB front end was the worst thing done to this car, but that will be changed shortly. The engine as said is a V8 351 cleveland which came standard in this and is a automatic (which I'm going to work to my advantage even though I'm partial to stick shift).

This following picture is how I would like the final product, as of now this car has a '74 fairlane front end (mentioned in detail above) but I already have a proper XB front end to put it to full original XB Falcon. The paint job will consist of the base primer twice, 3 coats in the metallic blue like below then several coats of clear to give it that glass like appearance (like wise with the silver trimming). As you can tell I'm excited to have this car to call my own...and its been nick named 'Mary Jane' as of now.

Maaan that fairlane front clip makes your coupe look like a 73 Torino sportsroof.your Coupe would look much better with a XA or XB front clip.
