got hold of a ST15 Celica w2a intercooler set-up for the feroza. this item will keep the charge air temps down nicely.
it consists of the core, a heat exchanger and a pump.
the core i have mounted just to the exhaust side of the cam cover, held up with some metal brakets. there will be some heat sheilding material between the manifold and i/c core.
the heat exchanger is mounted in behind the bash plate with the pump.
i scored some 2" stainless pipe from the scrap yard, so far i have only made the 1st section that goes from the dump pipe to the cat.
i nearly have it all done, been driving around in it running nearly 5psi (the ECU cuts out just after 5psi) haha. i havnt done any fuel mods yet, was going to add an extra injector that only squirts when boost comes on switched via an adjustable hobbs switch. i have retarded the timing a little though, and thats all so far. i'm getting more game each time i test drive it to put the foot down harder instead of 'easing' the boost on.
i can feel the difference already in the engines pull. main thing i need to sort out at the moment is to work out how to make the actuator open the wastegate at 4.5psi instead of the factory set 7psi. at the moment i am useing a shitty cheap pod filter, would like to modify the factory air box back in there.
