Page 3: Fog Light/Parking lights Rewire "How-To"

All i want now is light blue ANGEL EYE RINGS to put inside my fogs for more of a 1 off look can ANY1 PLZ HELP!!*

Heres my Next Rewire job;
Ok so i fig out the Side Marker/Turning signal rewire job and jumped to this mod which was my original job b/c i seen soo many Maxs on this site w. this mod but no1 gave any steps on How they did it.
So heres my "How-To".
MATERIALS NEEDED; SPOOL OF WIRE 14-16 GAUGE, SPLICE CONNECTORS LIL BLUE PIECES WHICHEVER U PREFER, SMALL ZIP TIES OR ELEC TAPE AND A WIRE CUTTER/ SPLICER TOOL
*ID ADVISE DISCONNECTING YOUR BATTERY AS I BLEW MORE THAN A FEW FUSES DOING THESE INSTALLS OR REMOVE BULBS OR FUSES THATS YOUR CHOICE THOUGH*
1. If u already tried my sidemarker/turning signal rewire your front turn signal wires should already be stripped if not do that and find the RED/YELLOW WIRE.
2.This is your power wire to turn on your parking lots. All you have to do is splice in a new wire to this RED/YELLOW wire and your halfway there.

3. Make sure your new wire is long enoough to be run down the left side of your engine to that big relay block at the top left of your engine bay (all looking into your engine facing the back of the car)
4a. Id say the hardest part of this mod is to get this relay block open and fig out how to seperate the middle section from the bottom half but it will seperate. Your probably gonna need a second flat head screwdriver. But heres the process to seperate this fuse block block to gain access to the almighty ORANGE/BLACK striped wire which will turn on your fog lights.

4b. Ok 1st your going to need to get to this top RIGHT big relay bc thats where your ORANGE/BLACK wire is. 1st seperate each relay from its holder at yur discretion to gain acess to the underside where the wires are. Once the relays are out of your way, this is where you try to seperate the middle portion of the whole relay box from the bottom.

4c. All around the perimeter of this relay box u will see 6(mas or menos) small clips go ahead and pop every1 of those lil fuckers u can find, youll prolly ned 2 small FH screwdrivers. It still wont seperate until you push the last two clips on the left side of the box towards each other at the the same time then the middle should seperate from the bottom half of the entire box. If you popped all clips you should know be able to have enough access to the underside of the relays were the wires run. You should now have plenty of acess to the almighty ORANGE/BLACK wire that you will be splicing into.(Trust me after you go thru all that hassle to open up the relay box to get to that 1 wire youll understand)
5. You should be pretty home free from here I ran my new wire that we spliced into the parking light in the back of the box theres a lil gap where the bottom and middle combine that the new wire should fit into. Take your new wire splice it into the ORANGE/BLACK and your lights should come on(ALL these dayum forums kept saying it was the yellow wire so I tried every yellow wire no workie)for the 01 max I know its the ORANGE/BLACK wire once thats spliced in test it out and you should be good.
HERES HOW YOUR SETUP SHOULD LOOK:(if you look close u can see where i spliced into a few diff wires in my attempts to find the right wire for this job)

6. Snap back in all relay holders and original relays back in their spots and then your relay box all 2gether should fit right back the way it was.
7. Electrical tape the wire u ran and where you spliced in the wire to the parking lamp and your done.

My info was based off soem forums and they told me it was the dayum yellow wire on another relay. Soo wrong i went on splicing into the other yellow wires and 1 turned on half the headlights and the fogs another was the dayum Horn which scared the shit outta me as my horn started BLARING whebn i spliced into another wrong wire. Another wire made my engine start clicking like it was starting up. So I got my Haynes book did some research and found out it was the Orange light for sure if you dealign w. earlier or later models i suggest you make sure its the ORANGE wire heres the result.
