Thanks for dropping in! Just a stock 1994 Z28 that I picked up at a good price, in outstanding condition inside and out. Nice 4th Gen Camaro. (The indented headlight style still remains my favorite...never could get used to that headlight assembly that was put on the 1998+ versions.)
Standard 5.7L 350Cid LT1 stock motor with no mods...for now. Briefly looked underneath...looks like the dual exhaust is connected to a single glasspack giving this "Z" one helluva rumble - much louder than stock. Definitely gets attention at low idle at the stoplights, and cruising down the highway. I'm not crazy about the flat, black exhaust tips, so those will be gone shortly. Going to fool around with it throughout the summer, and see if I can tweak that HP a bit.
It's funny...at almost every stoplight, I get some import driver who wants to "go", revving his little hamster-powered motor with the grapefruit-sized exhaust tip...making all that high-pitched noise, and doing about 40MPH in the end. I mean, really.....*laughing* Maybe that big wing on the rear deck of that import belongs on an airplane after all?
Now, before all the import enthusiasts get pissy, I'll make the following claim: I'm quite aware that there are imports out there much faster than a Z28, and that's fine. If you've got a STOCK import and you're faster than me, then kudos to you. If you've got thousands of dollars in mods, NOS and whatnot, and you beat my STOCK Z28, then whoopdeedoo. I'm pretty sure I could sink a ton of cash into mine and do the same thing. But, that's not the point, is it?
