gothelions's 1987 Mazda 626

I HAVE SINCE SOLD THIS CAR AS OF THE 26TH OF FEB 2007!

This is my solid as a brick shit house 626. I like my mazda but it is really frustrating becuase it keeps on breaking down. It is the standard 2L carby engine with the only mod being the cat-back exhaust system(more for look and sound than performance). Inside i have redone the sound system. I have a crappy sansui mp3 head unit that does an alright job. In the front i have kenwood 4" two ways running off the head unit. In the back i have pioneer 6" two ways in the parcel shelf running off the boss 4 channel amp. The subwoofer is a 12" mtx which is also running off the boss amp. Overall this is a good base set up that i have managed to get with out spending a fortune.

Just recently i had my alarm system fitted. It was hooked up to the c/locking and now i have keyless entry which is sweet. Just after i got my car last year it was broken into at work.(shopping centre car parks suck). I also have solex door locks which will hopefully stop all future theving scum from getting in.

Having taken inspriations from my cousin, who just finished his holden gemini with a stock 200sx engine conversion i hope to one day fit my mazda out with a new engine. This will have to wait till im older (turbo insurance is expensive for us) and the bank balance lets me. Something like that 82' 626 with the 13b turbo is an awesome job. The replacement engine would be some sort of twin cam 2L 4 cylinder (nissan maybe).

More photos including post crash damage shots coming soon.

Hear are new photos with my new 16" alloy hyper rims. They are running on 205/55 R16 tyres so i had to bash the rear guards out so that they would fit. one side looks ok but the other is a little dodgey. If u want a good job done it will cost u about AUS$50 a wheel arch. photo of new exhaust also included. Still waiting on a scaner form my computer so u will have to wait for the crash damage photos.
