What was done to the car while it was at the body shop
The body was taken apart completely and stripped, then painted separately off the car. Paint included exterior, door jambs, trunk area, and engine bay. They moved the lip for the rear bumper to fit the 3kgt VeilSide bumper and 3kgt tails, fixed dent in the rear, fixed transportation damaged hood, replaced head light buckets and radiator support, fitted VeilSide body kit, fitted black grill mesh behind ’99 bumper/fenders/side skirts, made custom brackets for fog lights, filled in Mitsubishi emblem on ’99 bumper, installed Kaze lip.

There was quite a bit of body work needed to get it up to his standards, as you can see, but it's starting to look good.

NO MORE GREEN!! lol The car has received its first coat of paint; five more to go. First a couple of pictures right before the paint was applied.

The whole car has been wetsanded with 1,000 grit and he started buffing it when I came. When they've finished the buffing, it will be wetsanded with 1,500 grit.

Only parts left that haven't been painted.

June 26th '06

I spoke with the body shop today and the whole car has been wetsanded a second time; I'm going to check out the car tomorrow, so be on the lookout for more pictures.

June 27th '06

The whole car has been wetsanded using 1,500 grit; say goodbye orange peel! Now it needs to be buffed. The hood, side skirts, exterior a-pillar trim, rear center garnish, and Kaze lip need to be painted.

The car is finally starting to approach its final stages. It has been wetsanded using 1,500 grit and the buffing was almost complete when I took these pictures. Talk about mirror finish!!

July 14th '06
Sorry about the quality of the pictures but I had to use my cell phone camera. Everything was test fitted but the Kaze lip and hood. You can really start to see what the final product will look like at this point. They still have to paint the hood, exterior a-pillars, and Kaze lip. Create mounting brackets for the fog lights and black mesh grill behind the front bumper, vented fenders, and side skirts.
