Here are some pics of my 65 Fairlane 2dr Hardtop.
I bought it for the princely sum of $900, about a year ago. It ran, and drove, but I tore apart the engine to see what kind of shape it was really in.
Mostly body work, nearly the enitre driver's front fender is bondo-
The interior is in great shape, no tears, the stitching is just seperating from sitting in the sun for so long.
Here's the engine- "c" code. 289 V8, 2v, low compression. It's also got a C-4 automatic, 9-inch rear with 2.80:1 gears.
The paint is "X" code "vintage burgundy" metallic. It was made on Dec. 8th 1965, in Kansas City, same plant as my other Fairlane.
I had to move it into storage for a little nap while I go to school. Here's a pic of it as of now.
To be completely honest, I'm not sure of the car's fate. I really want to build it into something great and have big plans- but it's going to cost money that I don't have and won't have for a long while. Oh well, we'll see...
