YELLOWCJ's 1971 Jeep CJ5 YELLOWCJ's 1971 Jeep CJ5

This was my Jeep last spring. I bought from a old friend of mine, John Sweeney. The restoration took 14 months and alot of late nights. I also had lots of help from a good freind "Ray The Body Man" in Manchester PA. I used a come-a-long off the ceiling in my garage to lift off the body. At this point I started to get off all the old paint. This also alowed me to sand blast the frame out in the yard!

Motor was seized. Here engine block is being Magna fluxed at home to make sure block was not cracked. Also a picture of over all shape. There was nothing missing on this 134 F Head!

That is one heck of a nice Jeep. I went stock the 1st time I restored mine in '97, then in '01 I took the body off and went a little nuts lol. Check out the finished product and let me know what you think. God Bless You, Hugh

Very nice I just purchased a 71 cj5 with the 134 in it! It was stored in a barn the guy that owned it died about six years ago and his son let it set in the barn and kept it cranked. He started to sell it last year but the fuel pump went out on it during the test drive. So I swapped him a four wheller for it. He delivered it to me I put a new fuel pump on it and cleaned out the old gas tank. I got in and pulled the choke out pumped the gas petal and it started right up I couldnt believe it. Before the guy died he put a new bestop on it new seats and a paint job. We drove it some but it has a small pin hole in the radiator, do you know where I could get a new one at? Thanks a lot, great job on your jeep it's amazing!
