FrenchConcord's 1980 AMC Concord

This is my personnal AMC Concord with 258 cu in. 1980's model with automatic column 3 speed . DL model with a lot of option.
A little bit of history ....
The Concord replaced the Hornet in 1978. The biggest difference between the Hornet and the Concord was the name, but the Concord was a somewhat more luxurious package with significant chassis refinements. It continued through the 1983 model year with few major changes.
On the backstretch I recorded 0 to 30 mph in about 5 seconds, 0 to 50 mph took 9.8 and the shot from 0 to 60 mph 13.7 before braking hard to miss mowing the lawn again. A nice road just in front of my house was used for the 0-to-80 run, which needed about 23 seconds. Going the quarter-mile took less than 19 seconds and a much longer distance gave me a reading of 105-110 mph as tops.
I installed an MSD 5 ignition module and a MSD coil "Blaster 2" to get more power. Engine is stock.
I replace also the stock distributor cap .
If you want to upgrade yours:
What To Use For Replacement UPGRADE:
FROM: For A 1981 Ford F-150 Pick Up Truck With A 300 CID I-6 Engine.
Distributor Cap Base,Distributor Cap,
Rotor.
On my side i also get a nice Spark Plug Wires set from Bosch .
Looks nice and works perfect !
HIGH PERFORMANCE UPGRADES:
Once the cap, rotor and plug wires have been upgraded, then you can use some 80's technology in the form of the MSD 5 module and MSD Blaster 2 coil .
The D/L's appointments inside the Concord are proportioned just right. Best of all are the individual reclining seats covered with a crushed velveteen fabric( Same as PACER) Not only are they soft but they also give good support. Though they don't appear to be adjustable, the headrests do move up and down.

I will add more pictures soon.

Nice looking Concord! 5 stars! My parents had a 4 door sedan back when I was a little kid. Come on by and check out my 97 Bonneville and tell me what you think!
